Hear ye, hear ye! Calling all Fun Seekers!
The Twelfth Regular Convention of Lutheran Church–Canada will meet from June 10-13, 2022 in the city of champions, Edmonton, Alberta! The convention will be held at the Delta Hotels Edmonton South Conference
The theme for the convention is Stand Firm In The Faith. It is based on 1 Corinthians 16:13 and was chosen for our convention that was originally scheduled for 2021 in recognition of the 500 th Anniversary of Martin Luther’s famous ‘Here I Stand’ speech at the Diet of Worms in 1521.
The convention will begin with an orientation session on Friday, June 10, 4:00 p.m., with the Opening Divine Service that evening. It will conclude at noon on Monday, June 13. As a result of the restructuring of our Synod that was put in place at our last convention, the upcoming 2022 convention will see the largest gathering of delegates since the founding convention of LCC in 1988.
The point of the convention is to gather together as God's people for His praise and worship, elect Synodical officials and enjoy much merriment with like minded geniuses! This is where you come in! We need a lay delegate and an alternate lay delegate. If you can help be part of history, please contact the church.
