.:COMMUNION POLICY:.
Congregations of Lutheran Church-Canada follow the Biblical teaching and practice of Closed or Close Communion. Of all the gifts that God gives His people, Holy Communion is the only one with a "warning label." St. Paul writes:
“Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty concerning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without carefully regarding the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.”
1 Corinthians 11:27-29

As such, out of great love and care for our members and visitors alike, we want everyone to be be properly prepared before receiving Holy Communion:
-
Be Baptized in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
-
Believe in the real presence of Christ, that it is His true body and blood "in, with and under" the bread and wine for the forgiveness of sins.
-
Instructed and Confirmed in the teachings of the Lutheran Church
